Michael_Jackson_Talk_Radiocapitalt one of those rowdy, frequently unproductive, so-called townhall gatherings, which, in the main appear to be initially informative and educational on the topic of healthcare reform, slip into ugly and frequently malicious grandstanding. Congressman Barney Frank responded to a Massachusetts woman, who described the healthcare plan that he supports as a "Nazi" policy, saying, "On what planet do you spend most of your time."

Michael_Jackson_Talk_Radiocapitalest weather forecast of the week came from David Letterman's crew. David said, "You think it's hot here in New York City; it's also hot down in Washington D.C. It's so hot in Washington D.C. that today President Obama invited Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Sergeant Crowley to the White House to run through the sprinklers.

He then added, "Now here's a statistic, 90% of all paper currency money, you know, has traces of cocaine. Talk about your stimulus money!

Michael_Jackson_Talk_Radiocapitalis name will live in infamy. According to medical reports this detestable human being has something like three months to live, before succumbing to cancer. His name is Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi. How can such a perversion of compassion occur? The Scottish government released on compassionate grounds the only person convicted in the Lockerbie bombing that killed 270 people. It was the single worst terrorist act committed in Britain. The man found guilty of the detonation of a bomb aboard Pan Am flight 103 in 1988, was tried and convicted and sentenced to a minimum of 27 years. Scotland's justice minister allowed him to return to Libya so that he would be free to spend his final months of life with his family and friends.

He was, for years, a Libyan intelligence agent.

Inexplicable and revolting was the hero's welcome he received upon arriving in Tripoli.

He had served just eight years behind bars.

The Scottish justice minister defends the action of freeing the bloody murderer on compassionate grounds. He is wrong; the surviving loved one of those slaughtered have had another dagger stab in the heart. He will enjoy reflecting on the heroic reception he has received in Libya.

That's justice?

There is so much more to speak about and think about, from the war in Afghanistan, and that is soon going to require a large increase in American troops - the Taliban are advancing and the battle becomes more and more complex. We are not making progress. From that to healthcare reform and the form it will take within a few months.

Michael_Jackson_Talk_Radiocapitalast Sunday I spoke about our son Alan's new restaurant, which opened a week ago.. "Lemonade"...maybe we'll meet there this afternoon. It has been amazingly busy and it is GOOD.

It is at the corner of Venice Blvd. and Abbott Kinney, not too far from the ocean, right in the heart of the art district of Venice, California.

Speaking of art, he and his wife Heidi, will be opening a small "Lemonade" at MOCA (the Museum of Contemporary Art), within a couple of weeks in downtown Los Angeles.
