hat didn't go right?"...the memorable words of our Chief Executive when he revealed how he would investigate Katrina's impact on the Gulf. I suppose the immediate response, in his folksy jargon would be, "Nothing didn't go right". For erudition I rank that question along with a comment made by his mother, the former First Lady, Barbara Bush, after paying a 'photo-op visit to the flood evacuees packed into Houston's Astrodome. Her understanding of the situation, and her natural empathy for those suffering led her to exclaim, "And so many people in the area here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this (laughing) - this is working very well for them."

On September 1st George W. Bush said, for all the world to hear, "I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees." Take your choice...Is it a,b, or c.

A: That's a dumb statement.
B: That's a lie and dumb, or
C. He just doesn't get it.

Applying the opening line to the entire 5 years of the second Bush administration, "what didn't go right?" (I'm hoping the Supreme Court won't.) Perhaps you could take a few moments and give me your thoughts, comments and opinions of what "did" and "didn't" go right for the administration and the nation.
Is he already considered by both Republican and Democrats alike to be ...a lame duck?
I look forward to receiving  your comments.
