Arafat's flight to Paris to see what their experts can do to prolong his life.
Bin Laden's address to the American people, the leadership of this country, and the world.
The heightened concern that we may well see a delayed decision after the election on Tuesday; more challenges to the outcome in Florida, Ohio and wherever else the results are likely to be close.
8 more US Marines killed today in Iraq.

hat's just a sampling of today's and maybe tomorrow's headlines. And we are beginning to measure the time between now and election day in hours.
This presidential election is certainly the most bitter and most closely observed election since, at least, 1980. Four years ago George W. Bush succeeded by winning a narrow election victory, courtesy of the United States Supreme Court. He promised that he would be a conciliator. He spoke of bringing Democrats and Republicans together at home and he promised us that he would have a humble foreign policy around the world. He has done neither. Bush has exploited the War on Terror to subdue domestic opposition and to divide the world between good and evil ...between "them" and "us."
The 9/11 attacks certainly shattered confidence and he united us in this country for a struggle against the radical Islamist terrorists. But then he launched the pre-emptive war against Iraq. Why? The whole premise was false, and Bush knew it. The world is better off without Saddam Hussein, but the President's conduct of the war subsequent to his "top gun" style landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier to proclaim "mission accomplished" has been horrendous. Frankly, there's little more we can do to help the growing number of Islamic fundamentalists raise their numbers. His crusading moralism has alienated much of the world. Mr.Bush seems to have real disdain for international law. "Mr.President, we must not misread the battle against Al Qaeda, as a clash of civilizations, rather a battle within the Muslim world." Kerry understands the differences. In this changing world. Our power depends in large measure on our dependability, John Kerry understands this.
If you would like to see the peace and prosperity of the Clinton years return, the very best of luck.
